The Prado is now refusing to acknowledge its guests. The current display at the Madrid museum presents visitors with a stark and life-size reproduction of the reverse of Velázquez's Las Meninas, rather than the full splendor of the painting itself.

There are also five beaten wooden planks from the original stretcher of Picasso's Guernica, a supposedly pious nun baring her bottom, and a picture whose frame bears testament to its capture by the Nazis.
