After a catastrophic ransomware assault, MGM Resorts' hotel and casino operations have resumed normal operations.

MGM has been closed for business, including gambling, for more than ten days. MGM controls a large portion of the Las Vegas Strip, including the Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and MGM Grand, as well as dozens of other hotels and casinos across the world. The ALPHV encryptor and a social engineering ploy were used in the assault, which spread so rapidly that guests couldn't use their hotel keys for the first day.
