Independent Body to Run Women's Soccer in England

An autonomous body not affiliated with the Football Association (FA) will take over the administration of women's soccer in England beginning in the 2019–20 season to establish new benchmarks for the sport.

The Women's Super League and second-tier Women's Championship clubs will be run by NewCo. Nikki Doucet, a former Nike executive and investment banker, will be the inaugural chief executive officer.
