Drop your favorite casseroles recipes here! Here is one of my quick casseroles: (this is the quick version so i will be using premade ingredients)
1-2 tablespoons butter
1 bag frozen broccoli and cauliflower
1 can of cream of chicken soup
heavy cream (optional)/ cream cheese (optional)
1 tbsp garlic (minced or sliced)
1 onion (white onion)
salt (to taste)
black pepper (to taste)
curry powder (to taste)
pinch of paprika
cheese (cheddar and mozzarella preferably)
bread crumbs (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 (F). Mix the wet ingredients first and add the ingredients and put them in a baking tray or casserole dish, except for the cheese, which you will put on the top layer. If you want to add a bit of bread crumbs to the top layer for a little crunch, feel free to do so. pop in the over for around 45 mins to an hour. You can serve as is, or add some bread to make it a heavier meal. You can also add some boneless chicken strips or cubes if you want to add some meat.
With the ingredients, you can really add or deduct the seasoning, since it will be depending on how you want it. I prefer mine to have just a bit of the curry taste, put in my paprika, and sometimes add a little cayenne pepper for a little kick. I find this dish to be a great side for grilled meats or steaks, porkchops, etc.

would this work if you were to change up the top layer? have you tried it with another sauce instead of the usual cheese? was thinking of maybe adding a cream sauce mixed with cheese and have it browned in the oven or something.
