I, apparently, have been living under a rock. Because there is a new Top Gun Movie. Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer are still there. Jennifer Connelly will be a new addition.
if you check out rotten tomatoes the reviews are so good! I also read somewhere that Tom does not want a streaming release for Top Gun so its off to the cinemas unless you want to wait.
Also I need to watch that film again. Last I saw it, it think was VHS? or was it VCDs? Welp, I just revealed my age there.

Top Gun Maverick is the first film that I watched in the cinema. And its perfectly nostalgic in a sense that it has the formula for an action blockbuster. You've got Tom Cruise smiling at Jennifer Connely while leaning against a car against a backdrop of a fiery sunset. I was really counting on some 90's music right there.
Seriously though, its the typical action movie formula that still works its magic on moviegoers. The stunts and effects are pretty good as well, which is something to expect in a Tom Cruise flick.
