If you are an iPhone user, you should get ahead with updating your os to 14.3. Apparently, if you go to the app store, you can now view safety labels of each app you want to download. Much like a nutritional label, you'll get details on what the app tracks, what data it collects, and other such details. 

You'll also get prompts with certain apps about sharing files to apps. For instance, if you will post on instagram, you'll get a popup asking you to grant permission for the app to access your photos, but you now have the option to grant access to either all photos, or just select photos you would want to share.
