Unity, the main competitor to Epic Games' Unreal Engine, recently made a shockingly terrible adjustment to the pricing for the usage of their game engine, and the reaction was swift and widespread.
It was recently stated that developers will be charged a fee every time a game built with Unity was installed. Numerous independent developers were shocked by the sudden shift, and many have already announced that they would be switching platforms for future releases.
