Korean specialists have noted a subtle shift that might cast a shadow over the semiconductor supply chain collaboration between South Korea and China as the United States makes further steps to deny China access to chip innovations.

In the most recent example of intellectual property (IP) theft, five people, including a researcher from SEMES Co, were charged by the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office last month of exporting sensitive knowledge on semiconductor cleaning equipment to China.
