The Philippine gambling regulator was about to lay off 700 employees impacted by the privatization of a Malate casino, but the GCG intervened and prevented the layoffs.
This was revealed in a statement issued by Senator Raffy Tulfo on Thursday, following a visit to his office by GCG officials led by chairwoman Marius Corpus the previous day.
