On Friday, October 21, a US judge in Texas determined that the two Boeing BA.N 737 MAX accidents' victims should be treated as "crime victims" for purposes of determining the appropriate remedies.
When the US Justice Department reached a January 2021 deferred prosecution agreement with the plane manufacturer over two crashes that claimed 346 lives, the relatives of crash victims claimed in December that the US Justice Department had breached their legal rights.
