On Monday, Saudi Arabia announced the creation of an annual Esports Globe Cup, promising the most significant prize pool in the history of the industry and featuring the most popular titles in the world.

According to a statement released by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the tournament will move to Riyadh every summer beginning in 2024.

The initial list of games included in the eSports World Cup are:

Honor of Kings
Counter-Strike 2
Dota 2
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
StarCraft II

I'm familiar with the games except for Honor of Kings.

I love reading bookie news, tips and more.

I also don't know Honor of Kings. A quick Google search shows it is a popular MOBA in China—another DOTA clone.

Honor of Kings is actually one of the oldest mobas, but yes as @heatfan said, its popular in China.

It was made as a sort of mobile version to League of Legends that Tencent made after they went to Riot to ask for a mobile LoL game, and declined. Making their own proved to be successful. I guess the market is mostly Asian- chinese in particular, and the game's designs and skins are mostly taken from Chinese mythology as well.

So, we have 3 MOBAs, 1 FPS, and 1 RTS. Where are the fighting and sports games? I hope there are more games from different genres.

Pretty sure its the EA Sports SC for sports, since soccer is generally one of the most popular in eSports in an international level. not sure with the ones for fighting.

Planning on retiring early, thanks to my Bookie PPH Blog
